may dislike change to their routine because of their different levels of the stress hormone cortisol, a study suggests. The hormone is believed to make the brain more alert, and more able to cope with changes in the environment.

I am very aware of the stress levels that people on the spectrum experience. It is heartbreaking to see how much anxiety any change in routine will cause them. I am very glad that there are
neuro-scientific studies
happening more often now, and I believe that in the near future the treatments will be readily available in a simple supplement form, rather than in prescription drug.
