The Board of Directors reviews applications submitted by individual parents on behalf of their child. Their funds are limited. They prefer to fund smaller programs or services (under $1000) so that they may serve a greater number of children. They prefer parents who have limited financial resources or special circumstances that are compelling.

The United Healthcare Children's Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to facilitating access to medical-related services that have the potential to significantly enhance either the clinical condition or the quality of life of the child and that are not fully covered by the available commercial health benefit plan.
